Local Artist Accepted in ViewPoint 2009 National Juried Art Exhibition

Amy Roy has her artwork “The Adoptive Parent” accepted into ViewPoint 2009, a
national juried art competition sponsored by the Cincinnati Art Club. This marks the
41st year for this annual competition which comprises 70 works by national artists in various
media.

ViewPoint 2009 will hold an opening reception for the public at the Cincinnati Art Club, 1021
Parkside Place, Cincinnati, Ohio, on Friday, November 6, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, with an
awards ceremony at approximately 7:00 p.m. The exhibition will continue on Saturdays and
Sundays from 2:00 to 5:00 PM until November 22nd 2009.

ViewPoint 2009 exhibition juror is John Michael Carter, a nationally known portrait artist from

A variety of awards will be given, including First Place, $2,000.00; second Place, $1,000.00;
Third Place, $750.00; Eisele Gallery of Fine Art Award, a one-year representation
(www.eiselefineart.com); Founder's Award, $150.00; John Crane Watercolor Award, $150;
Don Dennis Award,$150.00; Ray Loos Watercolor Award $100.00; Rottinghaus Gallery
Award, $200.00; The Artist's Magazine Award, $100.00 and subscriptions; Bowman's
Framing Award, $100.00 gift certificate; Cincinnati Art Galleries Award, $100.00; Great
American Art Works Pastel Award, 78-color pastel set; North Light Books Award, $50.00 gift
certificate; Pastel Journal Award, $50.00 and subscriptons; Plaza Artist Materials Award,
$50.00; Suder's Art Store Award, $35.00; Watercolor Artist Award, $75.00 and
subscriptions; and Winsor Newton Award, watercolor set.
